Haha, that was close =P

Doing better. Today my five-and-a-half-weeks-of-exam-revision started. I have three weeks to go before my first two exams, and then one and a half more weeks to read for my third and final one. A bit nervous. At least this is the beginning of the end!

It turns out the interview was only for a "let's call if we need you substitute" job, and I said I wasn't interested in doing that this summer. I'm the kind of person who needs to know I can go away and truly relax, without worrying someone will call me to work.

Buuut...they also needed weekend subs this fall, and I *think* I got hired. Which means I sort of have a job waiting for me! There are no set hours, and I don't know when I'll be called and asked to work, but she said there hadn't been any subs who had complained about working too little yet, and I can say no if I'm not able to work when they call me. Aaand, I informed the lady interviewer about my tendinitis, so all the cards are on the table. Yay!

In other, but sort of related news, I got "vacation money" from last year's summer job today! Took me by complete surprise, I got so much salary last summer I thought the vacation money had been added to it. So now I have to worry a little less about money...

Oh, and I started jogging today!

So I am not as poor as I thought, not completely jobless this fall, getting into shape, and have a whole summer of relaxation in front of me!

Got a really nice message from a friend today...*gasps*... I actually have friends, finally, which is wonderful, except most of us will be going to different colleges next year. There are some who consider staying, though. *crosses fingers*

If I get an apartment, I will be moving out in two months! Which means that from this fall I will be able to invest more in friendships...my autumn resolution.

Whew, even lj has changed. I bought a new chair which makes typing slightly better for me somehow, but I still cannot really type much. Been thinking about it a lot lately.

Life is good though. Starting college soon, going to some family friends to celebrate tonight, and oh! I'm back home in Norway XD

It feels like I've been working for ages, but it's only been a day. I think I'll be bored to death in the end, but hey...I'm earning 122$ a day, who am I to complain?

I achieved something today I'll never achieve again...it is a weird thought, but instead of getting worried about the future, I have been able to be content about the present.

I got an A in written German. I don't want it. I don't deserve it. I hate it when things aren't fair.

My Resignation

In order to make a proper rant, let me explain how the Norwegian graduation-celebration thing works. The second day of school, we receive catalogues where we have to order clothes and hats and cards...and that is only the beginning. Most people order tings for about 3000 NOK. That is, of course, barring the cars and buses most people go together and buy.

Then there are the endless parties, beginning already in autumn and lasting all the way till May, when parties almost every day and playing truants becomes the big deal. And all that celebrating graduation even BEFORE we have graduated, BEFORE we've had our exams.

And of course everyone has to be a part of it.

You're expected to spend around 10 000 NOK on the whole thing altogether.

Well, no thank you, I say. I've bought the clothes, but paying 1000 NOK for going to one of the biiig parties is really not my thing.

But yeah. The money thing is really not what frustrated me. It is the fact that it's about a thing I'm really not interested in. I mean, I want to graduate, and be done with school as soon as possible...but parties, drinking, and spending thousands of NOK is not really my thing. Nor is staying up the whole night >_>

And I guess that makes me feel lonely.

And feeling lonely sucks.

And feeling lonely makes me feel hurt and angry.

I have friends, but not really "party-friends". So yeah. Gah.

This is the first day since I started school that I've been feeling...well, not happy, but perfectly content.

About most things anyway.

This is why I have stayed away from getting wounded ever since...well, almost since the Calling. It is because a) people pay too much attention to it because of my icon and b) I feel bad because they do.

I don't know whether to laugh or scream because every single post in the thread has my name on it, but I'm in such a strange mood I'm doing the former. So I am actually quite amused *g*
